Scholarship Program
Florida Baptist College is committed to keeping the cost of tuition reasonable so that a lack of finances will not preclude a student from following the will of God for His life. Students are expected to do their part by working to pay their college expenses and being good stewards of their finances. In order to help those students who may not be able to afford to attend FBC despite their best work efforts and stewardship, FBC offers the following scholarships:
***Inaugural Year Scholarship***
This scholarship is available to any student that enrolls for the inaugural year of Florida Baptist College, 2005. The amount of this scholarship is $2,500 divided over a period of eight semesters.
Christian Worker’s Scholarship
This scholarship is available to any student whose parents’ primary income is received from full-time ministry. The amount of this scholarship is $4,200 divided over a period of eight semesters.
Patriot’s Scholarship
This scholarship is available to any student that has served an active duty in the U.S. military forces and has received an honorable discharge. The amount of this scholarship is $3,500 divided over a period of eight semesters.
Academic Scholarship
This scholarship is available to any student that has graduated from high school with a score on the SAT of 1425 or higher, or on the ACT of 28 or higher. The amount of this scholarship is $2,000 divided over a period of eight semesters.
First Student Scholarship
This scholarship is available to any student that is the first student to attend Florida Baptist College from a particular Independent Baptist Church. The amount of this scholarship is $1,500 divided over a period of eight semesters.
Qualification
A student may qualify for multiple scholarships, but will only be awarded the largest scholarship for which he is qualified. Student must complete an application and provide proof of scholarship eligibility prior to being awarded a scholarship. Students receiving scholarships are expected to meet their other financial obligations to the College in a timely manner. FBC reserves the right to withdraw the remaining semesters of a student’s scholarship if the student fails to timely meet his financial obligations.
