Pastoral Major  

Every pastoral student will be instructed in every book of the Bible. This book-by-book approach will give the student a mastery of the Word of God. The Bible will be taught as the foundational book for future ministry. Students will be taught the proper principles of exegesis and interpretation. Additional emphasis will be placed upon soul-winning, church planting, and preaching. Students will be expected to master the practical functions of ministry, such as baptisms, funerals, weddings, and visitation in hospital and medical facilities. The student will develop basic skills in Biblical language. He will develop a philosophy of Christian education, gain an understanding of the church’s operation within the field of business and law, and learn how to be more effective in his witness to a world full of false religions. Experienced pastors will be his professors in key courses of Bible and ministry. Every pastoral student will have the opportunity to do internship in a local church ministry.
