Missions Major  

This major seeks to prepare men and women who are called by God to mission work on the foreign field. Along with a thorough teaching of the Bible, the student will be required to study a foreign language, learn about other world religions, and expose himself to cultures, manners, and customs that could challenge his effectiveness. These students will be encouraged to take a trip to a foreign country and assist a veteran missionary. These “on the field” internships will be arranged during the last semester of the senior year. Missions’ students will also take practical courses that will enhance their ability to have a more effective deputation and more durability on the field. Students will be taught to forge relationships between supporting churches, the mission clearinghouse, and the local national church.
