Elementary Education Major  

The Elementary Education Major seeks to instill in students the proper philosophy of Christian education and to equip them with understanding students, employing successful methods, and developing valuable skills. This major seeks to develop qualified Christian school teachers for the elementary levels of K-3 through grade 6. The student in this major will be trained to teach subjects ranging from Reading and Mathematics to Bible and Physical Education. The curriculum will emphasize maintaining a spiritual life as a teacher, and being profitable not just in the classroom, but also in ministry. The student in elementary education will be exposed to a variety of curricula available and administration principles important to a successful school. These students will be privileged to do practice teaching in a classroom environment throughout their four years of education.
