Academic Honors

In order to promote scholastic excellence, Florida Baptist College will recognize top students with these specific honors:

Scholastic – Any student who does not have an “Incomplete”, a “D”, or an “F” on their semester grades will be eligible for the following scholastic honors:

• The President’s List – Grade point average of 3.90 or above.
• The Dean’s List – Grade point average of 3.75 to 3.89.
• Honor Roll – Grade point average of 3.50 to 3.74.

Graduation – These traditional honors, based upon a student’s total collegiate work, are given at graduation.

• Summa Cum Laude – Grade point average of 3.90 or higher.
• Magna Cum Laude – Grade point average of 3.75 to 3.89.
• Cum Laude – Grade point average of 3.50 to 3.74.
• Valedictorian – The graduate with the highest grade point average.
• Salutatorian – The graduate with the second-highest grade point average
